Bioethanol

Bioethanol is a fuel produced from renewable raw materials. In Lithuania, bioethanol is mixed into the A95 gasoline composition (E10 standard or a maximum amount of 10% ethanol in gasoline).

Bioethanol helps reduce dependence on fossil fuels and contributes to reducing transport pollution (bioethanol emits about 80% less carbon dioxide emissions).

  • First generation bioethanol It is usually made from non-food wheat and corn. Grain is purchased from Lithuanian farmers and agricultural companies.
  • Advanced bioethanol It is produced from food industry waste, which we purchase from companies in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, and thus we help them adhere to the principles of the circular economy.

Bioethanol is a dehydrated ethyl alcohol with a minimum concentration of 99.5% by volume.

Industrial ethanol

Unlike the food and beverage ethanol used in the food and beverage industry, industrial ethanol is usually denatured by adding other chemicals to prevent misuse.

Where is industrial ethanol used?

  • Ethanol is important in the production of many chemical compounds such as ethyl acetate, acetic acid, and other organic compounds.
  • in disinfectants such as hand disinfectant liquids and antiseptics.

  • Although industrial ethanol is often not used directly for food, it can be used to clean packaging or other indirect areas.

Biomass

Biomass

Biomass is a partially degraded by-product obtained after biogas production. In the further production process, biomass enriched with micro and macro elements, decanted biomass and compost are obtained.

Biomass after anaerobic fallow

It is a valuable liquid organic substance containing 2-4% dry matter. It can be inserted into the soil, meadows, and winter crops with special watering-insertion equipment. This valuable substance increases the amount of humic substances and improves soil structure.

Compost

Loose, biodegradable organic matter containing 15-20% dry matter. Compost contains micro and macro elements that are vital for plants. Compost can be spread on the soil with manure shakers or spreaders. Compost is especially valuable for fertilizing cereals, potatoes and vegetables.

Decanted biomass

It is a liquid organic substance obtained by separating the liquid fraction from the biomass. Decanted biomass contains micro and macro elements useful for all plants. The biomass decanted biomass can be inserted into the soil, meadows, and winter crops with slurry vehicles with special irrigation-insertion equipment.
