Our people

Head of the Biogas and Biomass Division
I began my career at Kurana as an operator immediately after completing my bachelor’s degree. However, after mentioning that I was more interested in mechanics, I soon joined the mechanical maintenance team. Today, I build my own team and organise preventive maintenance and repairs for equipment throughout the plant. My work involves collaborating with colleagues from different departments, professions and areas of expertise to find solutions that keep all the company’s equipment running smoothly and efficiently. I have been working at Kurana since 2009, when the plant was built, so I know it like the back of my hand.

Head of the Maintenance Department
I have been working at Kurana since the plant began operating in 2009. Managing the plant gives me an inside understanding of how its processes work. It also allows me to be creative and explore ideas that could shape the future of both the company and the industry as a whole. Above all, the work is never dull or monotonous. Every working day at Kurana begins with a smile because I am going where I want to be, doing what I love and fulfilling my potential. My leadership role brings many different challenges. What I value most is the opportunity to transform processes and make the impossible possible.

Executive Director
While studying business administration, I always wanted to enter the business world, where career opportunities are limitless and how much you make of them is up to you. A constant desire to develop, explore new ideas and overcome challenges led me to pursue a career in commerce. In fact, I began my career at Kurana in the laboratory. Although the role was outside my field of study, I decided not to miss the opportunity to establish myself within the company. My current role as Commercial Director brings many different challenges. However, in more than ten years at Kurana, I have learnt that even challenges that feel like the end of the world at the time can ultimately be resolved. Each experience helps me grow and become stronger. I also value my work at Kurana because it makes a real difference to the environment. It matters to me that a business operates responsibly and sustainably, uses renewable raw materials and conserves resources.

Commercial Director
There is never a dull day in manufacturing — that is what makes this work so interesting to me. Producing a product means setting a complex operation in motion, bringing together a large team of specialists from many different fields. Their expertise keeps the production process running steadily. My work brings a variety of challenges, but they help me grow as a person and develop my professional skills. I follow one important principle: every situation is a lesson that offers something valuable and helps me improve.

Laboratory Manager

I have been working at Kurana since 2010. By my final years at school, I already knew I wanted to pursue a career in engineering. I was particularly interested in telecommunications, which was developing rapidly in Lithuania at the time. Looking back, I believe I made the right choice — it remains a field I feel strongly connected to. My working day begins with an analysis of the company’s operational performance. The data helps us manage and optimise every stage of production. My role allows me to oversee the entire production process for all the company’s products and make decisions. I regularly take part in production projects that improve workplace efficiency, reduce production costs and enhance product quality.
